New Basel cultural community
Starting in autumn 2026, «Sinfonietta Next» will be the offline cultural community for 18- to 29-year-olds. Inspired by the Basel Sinfonietta, Switzerland's only symphony orchestra specializing in contemporary music, we will experience art, literature, and, of course, music together. We will inspire and be inspired, discuss, share stories, debate, exchange ideas, network, and connect with each other, with the orchestra, and within the broader cultural, political, and economic landscape.
Our format is the "Salon"—sometimes a foyer, sometimes a theater hall, sometimes a pizzeria, sometimes backstage, sometimes a living room, sometimes a bar, sometimes somewhere else entirely, always offline. Together, we want to immerse ourselves in the world where cultural institutions, as indispensable social bodies, connect people and shape society in all its facets.
