A last-minute cancellation can also be an opportunity: We are very sorry that Vivi Vassileva will not be on stage with us next Sunday, September 27th – but are all the more pleased that Aaron Grünwald will be stepping in for her.
Grünwald is currently pursuing a Master's degree with Martin Grubinger at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. At just 25 years old, he is considered a promising representative of the next generation. He already impressed audiences at the Dresden Music Festival's "Night of Young Music Stars" in 2024, and in 2023 he also performed convincingly as a last-minute replacement in Kempen. In 2022, he won a prize at the prestigious "TROMP International Percussion Competition" in the Netherlands.
We are particularly pleased that a student of Martin Grubinger will now be taking on the part for which the percussion concerto "Tears of Nature" was composed – especially since Vivi Vassileva also studied with Grubinger. In this way, a musical circle is completed in a special way.
