Chamber ensemble of the Orquesta Experimental de Instrumentos Nativos (OEIN)

Founded in 1980 in La Paz, Bolivia, the Orquesta Experimental de Instrumentos Nativos (OEIN) is unique because it combines the sound spectrum of instruments from the Andean highlands with the achievements of contemporary musical language.

As part of the CULTURESCAPES 2021 Amazonas festival, the Basel Sinfonietta presents a joint concert project with the OEIN chamber ensemble consisting of seven soloists, under the direction of the Spanish conductor Pablo Rus Broseta.

An intercontinental concert project at the intersection of tradition and innovation from the sound laboratory of the Andes, featuring composers from South America and Switzerland.
